Anika serves organizations committed to the arts, education, community-building and justice.
Black Folks In Design
Anika worked with founder Little Wing Lee to launch her nonprofit organization Black Folks In Design, which creates economic and portfolio-building opportunities for Black designers. For this project, Anika designed the organization’s bylaws, membership program, and advised on BFID’s inaugural fundraising efforts. Anika is currently leading BFID through a strategic planning process.
CLEO Institute
Through focused sessions, Anika supported CLEO Institute in finalizing a strategic plan that amplifies their ability to move people, governments, and organizations to action on critical climate issues.
Making Memory Move
Anika is advising Baltimore-based performance artist and educator Ada Pinkston on collecting meaningful participant feedback from Pinkston's Making Memory Move, a public performance series that honors and preserves the rich legacies of Black communities in America.
Pioneer Works
Pioneer Works engaged Anika to gather community feedback on existing school-based programs, strengthen their community education offerings, and develop an astronomy education program. This new program aims to activate their planned space observatory for the benefit of local youth and public school teachers.
Powerhouse Arts
Anika served as Interim Co-Executive Director of Powerhouse Arts from 2021-2023. She also served as an advisor to the project during its start-up phase, surveying local artists and arts professionals to understand the unmet needs of artists, arts fabricators and Career + Technical Education High School students in NYC.
Project Unloaded
Project Unloaded is a Chicago-based culture change organization working to shift teen perspectives on gun ownership through digital campaigns. Anika collaborated with its program leads to standardize their summer curricula and adapt it to after school settings to support the organization in reaching more youth nationwide.
Red Hook Art Project
For this project, Anika surveyed program participants to document Red Hook Art Project’s program impact. She facilitated RHAP executive staff and the Board of Directors in aligning to refine and strengthen the organization’s youth arts offerings.
Youth Represent
Anika supported Youth Represent as an instructional coach, observing youth legal education workshop delivery to teach legal staff how to increase participant engagement and understanding.
